Check out the newest updates to Quizlet! My favorite is the addition of folders. Now you can organize your quizlet sets according to our units! (Or make a folder of all the sets covered on an upcoming test.) And the best thing? You can study all the terms in a folder, even if they are from different sets.

French Honor Society Holiday Card Initiative
Bonjour à tous!
The French Honor Society is looking to spread a little
kindness this Holiday season to veterans and active-duty service members in
hospitals around the world by contributing to the Christmas stocking project
initiated by the Marine Moms and the ‘Holiday Mail for Heroes’ project.
Please help us by:
-
Donating blank holiday cards (we’ll write them for you!)
-
Dropping off completed cards
-
Writing holiday cards with your students in homeroom
Here’s a link for more
information about the marine Moms: www.mahwahmarinemoms.com
Here’s a link for more information on the Holiday Mail for Heroes
program: http://www.redcross.org/support/get-involved/holiday-mail-for-heroes (There’s also a great video)
All cards received by November
4th will be sent to the Marine Moms
All cards received by November 18th will be sent to the Holiday Cards for Heroes
program
If you’re planning on writing some cards, please make sure they
follow the Red Cross guidelines:
·
Ensure that all cards
are signed.
·
Use generic
salutations such as “Dear Service Member.” Cards addressed to specific
individuals can not be delivered through this program.
·
Only cards are being
accepted. Do not send or include letters.
·
Do not include email
or home addresses on the cards: the program is not meant to foster pen pal
relationships.
·
Do not include inserts
of any kind, including photos: these items will be removed during the reviewing
process.
·
Please refrain from
choosing cards with glitter or using loose glitter as it can aggravate health
issues of ill and injured warriors.
· Each card does not need its own envelope, as
envelopes will be removed from all cards before distribution.
Merci beaucoup!

Bienvenue!
Bonjour et bienvenue!
I hope that in this year to come,
you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things,
trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself,
changing yourself, changing your world.
You're doing things you've never done before,
and more importantly, you're doing something.
Don't freeze, don't stop,
don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect,
whatever it is: art, or love, or work, or family, or life.
Whatever it is you're scared of doing, do it.
Make your mistakes, next year and forever.
-Neil Gaiman
After a wonderful fun-filled summer, I'm looking forward to a great year!
